On February 10, 11, and 12, 2011, at 7:30 PM, the International School of Nice (ISN) will present its new musical comedy “Thoroughly Modern Millie” at its premises at 15 Claude Debussy Avenue in Nice.

Students from 5th grade to 12th grade will present an adaptation of the American musical film by George Roy Hill released in 1967, which launched the career of Julie Andrews in 1967.

After “Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, and Little Shop of Horrors,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie” is the 14th musical produced by ISN.

Set in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who just moved to New York in search of a new life. Amidst intrigues and jazz, this comedy speaks about the emancipation of women, their integration into the workforce, and changes in social behaviors.
