The Galeries Lafayette in Nice Cap 3000 welcome Nébuleuse Bijoux, until February 17, 2023. Nice Premium met with the creator Adélie Curtet to learn more about this boutique specializing in jewelry to enhance the ears.

Nébuleuse Bijoux came to life in October 2019, created by Adélie Curtet and co-founder Mike Willekens, who handles the marketing aspect. Nébuleuse Bijoux initially started as a small online store project alongside her second year of a degree in Economics-Management. But during the confinement, with more free time available, she decided to dedicate more to this beautiful project, let it evolve and, once she graduated, fully dedicate herself to it.
“Seeing the satisfaction grow with each new collection I released, and the magnitude that this project was taking on, I decided to quit my studies in September 2020 to focus on it fully.”
From Idea to Paper, to Creation
For each collection, Adélie tries to draw inspiration from things that make her escape, such as fiction, movies, or travel, while adapting to trends and clients’ desires. The creation time varies, with some pieces being more difficult to imagine than others. The next Valentine’s Day collection, which will be released soon, was imagined in 24 hours, while others can take months.
There is about one collection per season that includes different types of ear jewelry: a piercing, a dangling earring, a hoop, and an ear cuff (fake piercing). Furthermore, to make sure everyone finds their happiness, some collections can include a necklace, a body jewel, an ankle bracelet, or even a ring.
In the latest collection, Adélie imagined a jewelry candle for the holidays.
With its three pieces of jewelry hidden inside, this candle is hand-poured in Cannes, the fragrance is crafted in Grasse, and the vegetable wax is 100% vegan.
From Constellations to Ears
A nebula is, in astronomy, a cluster of star dust causing incredible colors in space.
The wish was to create a jewelry brand with a starry universe “where it would be constellations on the ears, each jewel would be a star.”
This thematic choice stems from a shared passion for astronomy by the founders, passed down by their respective fathers. Adélie’s father, a lover of astronomy, used to take her star-gazing during summer. As for Mike, his father works in the field.
Thus, it is from this common attraction to the stars that the universe of Nébuleuse Bijoux emerges.
The Jewelry
Nébuleuse jewelry is available in gold and silver colors. They withstand time and water as they are made of 925 fine silver, plated with 18-carat gold, and stainless steel for the piercings. Additionally, a selection of titanium jewelry is available. If you do not wish to wait for the healing to wear beautiful pieces, you can do it!
