It is now certain, orientation is one of the main weaknesses of the French educational and professional system. For several years now, it has become a significant problem that haunts the minds of young generations and prevents many talents from fully expressing their true potential. Many students, recent graduates, or professionals who have just entered the workforce do not know which direction to take and take time to find their path.
“I don’t know what I want to do?”, “Which field is better to pursue?”, “I was advised to do this, but I’m not sure”… With only cold, impersonal, and complex frameworks as references, many of them embark on a path by default or through “logical” reasoning!
The questions are numerous and remain so for several years without finding real answers. The different orientation models are too rigid and not personalized enough, unlike those in some Northern European countries where personalized student support is one of the key success factors for good orientation.
