The Aiglons started the first leg of the French Men’s Torball Championship D1 with strength, organized on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Albert Malatesta sports complex in Nice. Bringing together the best French teams, the event highlighted sporting performances and team spirit.
From the first match, the team from Nice asserted their game by defeating Clermont-Ferrand with an overwhelming score of 12-2. However, the 4-12 loss against Toulouse in the second match was a reminder of the importance of each match. “We mustn’t give up, but now we have no choice, we have to win everything”, insisted the captain, Sébastien Filippini.
The words paid off. The Aiglons followed up with three wins: 8-3 against Grenoble, 9-3 against Marseille, and 11-5 against Lisieux. These results allowed them to finish first with 8 points and the best attack, totaling 44 goals scored.
On the scorers’ side, Cédric stands out with 15 goals, followed by Mikael (11 goals), Gilles (9 goals), Sébastien (7 goals), and Yacine (2 goals).
