Nice-Manastir Flight: 24 Hours of Turbulence

More than a day was needed for the flight operated by “Nouvelair Tunisia” to connect the two cities. The 75 passengers had to face numerous difficulties on Monday, February 21.

The airline had chartered a flight at the beginning of the week towards the coastal city of Tunisia. The strong gusts that blew over the Alpes-Maritimes that day diverted the aircraft, which was departing from Tunis to Nice. The weather forced it to stop in Marseille.

It was only at 12:57 AM, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, that the plane from the Phocean city was able to take off from the Azur capital. The initial flight was scheduled for 12:45 PM. Unfortunately for the passengers, the aircraft had to make an emergency stop in Sardinia, as confirmed by the Nice airport.

The presence of white smoke in the cabin forced the crew to change its itinerary. The travelers spent the night in the airport. It was finally at 12:31 PM that they were able to take off towards their original destination.
