An unexpected but well-deserved call-up
Expected to accompany Khéphren Thuram on Friday’s list, the Nice central defender Jean-Clair Todibo was initially not among those called up to the French National Team. However, injuries to two players on the list have changed the situation, and the eaglet has finally been called up by Didier Deschamps and his staff.
Indeed, after William Saliba (Arsenal), who was replaced on Sunday by the Monaco player Axel Disasi, Wesley Fofana (Chelsea) also had to withdraw on the eve of the gathering at Clairfontaine this Monday.
Jean-Clair Todibo and Khéphren Thuram will thus be able to experience this first call-up to the French National Team together. With the Blues, they will face the Netherlands on March 24 and Ireland on March 27.
