OGC Nice returned to the pitch for a friendly match against Rodez Aveyron Football, who finished 15th in Ligue 2 last season. For Christophe Galtier’s first game on the bench, the Eagles were held to a draw in Nice (1-1).
It was forward Lucas Da Cunha (20 years old) – who was loaned to the Ineos-owned club FC Lausanne Sport last year (scoring 6 goals in 27 Super League matches) – who opened the scoring. His first goal for the Eagles. The team from Rodez, coached by Laurent Peyrelade, managed to equalize in the second half, thanks to Ugo Bonnet, assisted by Johann Obiang.
OGC Nice’s next preparation match is scheduled for next Saturday (10 am), again at the training center, against their friends from Lausanne.
