This Saturday, September 14, the Nice team are traveling to the Vélodrome to face Olympique de Marseille as part of the fourth round of the Ligue 1 2024/25 season. A perilous journey awaits the Gym, here’s all the pre-match information.
The international break is over, and it’s time to return to Ligue 1 action. A challenging away game awaits OGC Nice this weekend: a derby. Franck Haise’s men will face OM on its turf at the Vélodrome Stadium. As a reminder, the Gym achieved their first victory of the season (4-1), in Angers. Jérémie Boga and his teammates aim to continue a positive streak. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
On the other hand, OM is still unbeaten since the beginning of the season. The Phocaeans have recorded two wins and one draw in three matches. Roberto de Zerbi’s men are currently in second place in the championship, behind PSG.
A promising Mediterranean derby
For this match, Franck Haise welcomes back Tom Louchet. Injured since the start of the season, Sofiane Diop might also be available for this derby, although the presence of the Moroccan attacking midfielder remains uncertain. Terem Moffi (knee), Morgan Sanson (ankle), and Gaëtan Laborde (foot) are unavailable for Nice. Moïse Bombito, sent off in Angers, will serve his suspension. Lastly, the Gym’s latest recruit, Ali Abdi, should be included in the red and black squad.
As for Roberto de Zerbi, he will have almost a full squad at his disposal. Only Léonardo Balerdi and Bilal Nadir are in the infirmary and unavailable for this match. Neal Maupay could face his former club, as he was trained at OGC Nice.
