On April 4 and 5, 2025, several companies in the Alpes-Maritimes will open their doors to the public and students to showcase careers in the industry.
The Open Factory Days are organized nationally by the Society of Arts & Crafts Engineers, with the support of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Inspired by the Heritage Days, this initiative aims to introduce the French industrial world, highlight the diversity of careers, and inspire vocations.
The event will take place over two days. Friday, April 4, will be reserved for students, while Saturday, April 5, will be open to everyone. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory.
Seven Companies Engaged in the Alpes-Maritimes
The Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) has joined the initiative and mobilized seven local companies. Each will showcase its activities and professions:
- EMM: specializes in materials engineering, precision mechanics, and 3D printing.
- ELECTRONIE: designer and manufacturer of electronic circuit boards.
- DECO FLAMME LIVE PRODUCTION: a company specializing in creating sets and furniture for events.
- ONE TOO/ CONTACT AZUR: manufactures electrical harnesses and cabling solutions for the industry.
- RECORD France: a manufacturer of shock absorbers showcasing its machining, welding, and assembly workshops.
- SOLOMAS: an expert in commercial design and the arrangement of interior and exterior spaces.
- TOURNAIRE: a company specializing in the protection of sensitive and dangerous materials.
Beyond the visits, these days aim to showcase the transformations in the industrial sector. The evolution of technology, the consideration of environmental issues, and the new skill sets required will be at the heart of discussions.
Stéphane Gorce, president of the Society of Arts & Crafts Engineers, summarizes the event’s goal: “Today’s industry is nothing like yesterday’s: technologies, careers, and skills have evolved. To attract young people to our industries, it is crucial to show them that they can thrive in innovative professions that are future-oriented and constantly evolving.”
