Latest News

This Friday, February 7th, the city of Nice was abuzz with the conclusion of the Yellow Coins Operation 2025. Held at the bandstand in Jardin Albert 1er, this celebration brought together iconic figures, committed partners, and the people of Nice who have always been devoted to this cause.

Brigitte Macron, President of the Fondation des Hôpitaux, accompanied by Anne Barrère, Vice-President of the Foundation, and sponsor Didier Deschamps, was present to thank the people of Nice for their generosity. “The people of Nice have been with Yellow Coins from the start. Coming to say thank you to them is very important to me,” stated Brigitte Macron on BFM TV Côte d’Azur.

A day marked by friendliness

The event was filled with fun activities for both children and adults. La Poste offered a photo booth and freebies, the Bank of France provided face-painting activities and the traditional scale to weigh the donations. Carrefour and local Bakers of Nice delighted the participants with a snack, while Vitalis and its famous fry stand complemented this gourmet atmosphere.

A highlight of the day was the symbolic weighing of the collected coins, orchestrated by the Bank of France. Brigitte Macron, in high spirits, even participated in a boxing warm-up session before resuming her official duties, smiling all the while.

An impressive result

This 2025 edition was a real success for Nice. The people of Nice collected 516.9 kilos of coins for a total amount of €5,065.62, a valuable sum to improve the daily lives of hospitalized children. Nice won the 2nd edition of the “RTL Yellow Coins Challenge”, surpassing Valenciennes, Orléans, Bayonne, and Rennes with 492.45 kilos of coins.

Lasting impact for the children

Since the launch of the Yellow Coins Operation, over 500 projects have been completed in the region, representing more than €8 million invested to enhance the welcome and well-being of hospitalized children. “It is mainly to improve the welcome of hospitalized children and ensure they are as well as possible, facilitating their recovery,” reminded Anne Barrère on BFM TV Côte d’Azur.

Continuing the solidarity

The campaign continues until February 28th at participating Coinstar kiosks. Every donation, even modest, helps support hospitalized children and teenagers. “We have done TV shows, games, visited different hospital departments. We realized just how much we need the yellow coins,” highlighted Brigitte Macron.

The Yellow Coins Operation 2025 concludes on a positive note, heralding an even more promising new edition next year.
