They are 84 years old and older; they envision their future with long-term projects; they thus rediscover a “self-image”… in these places of life and stimulation.
Since 2006, the elderly at the Cimiez Hospital Gerontology Center have been regaining the taste for being active, being recognized in their identity, in workshops organized with artists and volunteers.
Some engage in improvisation with artists Max Galli and Anne Paul in the painting and collage workshop; others develop large-format projects that leave a lasting mark on the walls of the departments in the workshop of artist Maurice Maubert.
As a neighbor concerned about the quality of life of the residents, the Cimiez Neighborhood Committee wanted to offer notes of friendship during a concert presented by Claude Di Benedetto and Laurent Blanquart, talented musicians from the Nice Guitar Duet, which will take place this Friday, October 5, 2012, at 3 p.m. in the Multipurpose Hall Pavilion Mossa 4, Avenue Reine Victoria.

In synergy with the medical, caregiving, and animation teams, the Communication and Cultural Actions Department supports their autonomy as best as possible while fostering exchanges with the surrounding world.
