Philippe Vardon, regional councilor and “leader” of the National Rally in the Nice metropolitan area, has challenged Christian Estrosi and the majority on a popular theme: the wallet, to which the people of Nice (and many others) are particularly sensitive.
In fact, the taxpayer has been subjected to a triple communication: on the government side, the removal of the housing tax (for those who are entitled to it), on the metropolitan side, the introduction of a property tax, and on the side of some town halls, the increase of its rate decided by the municipality.
Between increases on one hand and decreases on the other, for the taxpayer not always sensitive to administrative subtleties, the result has often been an increase!
That was all Philippe Vardon needed (beware, behind the somewhat aggressive style hides a savvy communicator) to launch a RN 06 campaign at the metropolitan scale under the title: the explosion of the property tax, ergo taxes.
He announced it, with the RN leaders and elected officials of the communes of the Metropolis, during a press briefing in front of the Town Hall and Metropolis in Nice…, a choice whose symbolic side is not hard to see!
5000 posters and ten times more leaflets will be distributed by activists in the coming days and weeks.
Philippe Vardon and his associates will not hesitate to denounce “a fiscal bombshell.”
For the National Rally elected official: “The mayors who supported this additional extraction of 63 million euros must now face their constituents: we’re going to take care of it!”
