In order to develop links between the world of sports and culture, a sports department agent with a passion for photography, Marc Monsigna, came up with the idea to create a series of artistic photos on the theme “Carros, Land of Sport.” But the great originality of these photos is that they are taken… underwater!
Titled PHOT’EAU’SPORT, this project came to life thanks to the remarkable work of Marc Monsigna and also thanks to the sports associations of Carros that agreed to play along. Various disciplines have thus been represented. Time slots were set aside at the municipal pool to create these one-of-a-kind photos. Volunteer members of sports clubs were photographed in the most representative poses and outfits of their discipline… but underwater. The results are striking!
Among the project’s objectives is the creation of a photographic exhibition that will be showcased in different sports and cultural venues consecutively. Moreover, these photos will be used to create a slideshow that will be presented during the upcoming Carros Sports Awards night.
