The picking of plants, and particularly of génépi, has historically been prohibited in the heart of the Park.

However, since 2013, the harvesting of certain plants is possible within a strict regulatory framework. Picking periods, allowable quantities, and collection areas—while liquor enthusiasts today have the opportunity to enhance their digestif with sprigs of génépi from Mercantour, it must be done with moderation and respect for ecosystems.
