For the second year, a true Pilou Championship is taking place every Sunday afternoon at the new Piloudrome of Mont Alban. Until now, the competitions were limited to a few annual tournaments, such as the prestigious “World Championship” of Coaraze or the equally famous Old Nice Tournament.
This permanent championship, called the LIGA of PILO, in Niçois, started in October. It is organized by the association Nissa Pilo, initiated by Julien Alquier and Christophe Cerruti, vice-presidents in charge of the youth.
Divided into two groups, like in professional sports, LIGA 1 and LIGA 2, the 22 best teams from Nice and its County are fiercely competing in this new Challenge.
Each match is played in five winning sets of three pilous (points).
Every sunny Sunday, the first matches start at 1 PM… they continue until nightfall.
