The TER regional trains on the Nice-Marseille line will no longer be managed by SNCF but by the private carrier Transdev. This is a first in France.
The decision was voted on at the Regional Council on Thursday, October 28. The 39 elected members of the National Rally group voted against it. 84 elected members adopted the report, notably the group “Our Region First” led by Renaud Muselier.
The railway workers are not looking favorably on this transaction. This Friday, railway workers protested in front of the Paca Regional Council before heading to the SNCF headquarters. 3,000 railway workers took part in it.
