Summer is the ideal time for renovation and maintenance work in school facilities. The total cost of the work carried out this summer for the 2022/2023 school year amounts to nearly €12 million, distributed across a little over a hundred projects.
Maintenance and renovation work has been carried out over the past few months at Alphonse Daudet College, constructed in 1991, to provide students with a better environment in a few days.
The work carried out
Regarding the rehabilitation and renovation of the gymnasium and its locker rooms:
- The tilework in the showers, the flooring, and the sanitary facilities were removed and replaced.
- The walls were protected with high resistance PVC panels.
- The paintwork was refreshed.
- Additionally, the gym’s air treatment system was renovated.
- Furthermore, inspection work was conducted on the gymnasium’s metal framework.
The library and the Agora hall also underwent a facelift with renovation and modernization:
- The flooring and false ceiling tiles were removed and replaced.
- The lighting was replaced with LED lights.
- The paintwork was also refreshed.




The budget
- The renovation of the locker rooms and gym passageways cost €68,000.
- The air treatment system cost €272,000.
- The framework inspection work cost €57,000.
- The library cost €60,000.
For a total of approximately €460,000 for the college’s work.
