Rudy SALLES mobilized for minors who are victims of cults

Rudy SALLES, Deputy of the Alpes Maritimes and Deputy Mayor of Nice, has just been appointed as Rapporteur on the protection of minors against the influence of sects at the Council of Europe.

On this occasion, he received Mr. Georges FENECH, President of the Interministerial Mission of Vigilance and Fight against Sectarian Drifts (MIVILUDES).

Rudy SALLES and Georges FENECH have been working for many years to protect populations, particularly children, who are especially vulnerable. They are often found under the influence of indoctrinated parents.

Rudy SALLES and Georges FENECH emphasize that “the lack of schooling, lack of care, and abuse affect nearly 50,000 children in our country, which is intolerable.”

For the Deputy from Nice, the inclusion of this issue at the European level is already a significant step forward. “A victory, considering that some churches characterized as sects in France are not seen as such in other member countries of the Council of Europe.”

Rudy SALLES and Georges FENECH recognize that a difficult and long-term task lies ahead. However, for them, the need to protect minors from sectarian influence is an absolute requirement for public authorities and a duty for all.
