For the 9th year of RYTHM’IN BLAISE, the festival is gaining momentum. Three days of music, improved comfort desired by the increasingly large audience, and a quality program on the menu.
This year’s theme speaks volumes. Absorbed in our hectic lives every moment, our daily worries, we sometimes forget to take the time to live and love, to share.
Rythm’in Blaise 2010 thus offers you its remedy based on 100% Bio-musical products!
50 Volunteers more motivated than ever to make you vibrate!
The Rythm’in Blaise Festival was created 9 years ago in Saint-Blaise, a small village of 900 inhabitants in the Nice hinterland, 17 km from NICE.
The objective was to make the village known, which lacked media visibility at the departmental level. Initially met with apprehension due to the project’s importance in this small village, the Rythm’in Blaise Festival is now part of the cultural heritage of the village. It is managed by an association of about fifty volunteers from St. Blaise whose president is Jacques Beaumelle.
The artistic program is entrusted to a Niçois producer residing in Saint Blaise, Gil MARSALLA. For the occasion, each volunteer takes on a mission contrasting with their original job, from the postman becoming a stage manager to the grocer ending up as a ticket agent, the beautician as the treasurer, etc. The company Directo Productions, directed by Gil Marsalla, is the festival’s partner, handling its programming as well as its communication and supervising the volunteers with a professional technical team.
To prepare for the music festival, organizers are on alert a year in advance. Four people form an artistic cell and stay updated throughout the year on regional tours and represented groups.
Three days of non-stop festival. On July 1st, the festival will host a free evening offered by the Alpes Maritimes General Council as part of the Estivales with guest JIL AIGROT, the voice of Piaf in the film “La Môme”, who just finished a tour in the USA where she played to sold-out venues with each performance. No one has achieved such a feat since Edith Piaf in 1959. An HYMN TO LOVE to kick off this 2010 Festival.
On July 2nd, she comes from Quebec, a warm artist that you can only love, NATASHA SAINT-PIER will be in Saint Blaise, she who gives and shares throughout the year, as she did during her annual participation in the 2010 Enfoirés in Nice.
On July 3rd, Passion will take over the festival with a grand show currently touring in France, THE HISTORY OF TANGO by ASTOR PIAZZOLLA combining sensuality, virtuosity, and musicality. As a sweet dessert, the sweetness and youth of the one who will surely be the musical revelation of the year 2010: JOYCE JONATHAN who is heard all day on all radios currently. Over 60,000 albums sold in four months, she, produced by Internet users and whose album was produced by Louis Bertignac, will surely be eagerly awaited by the public since she will perform exclusively at Rythm’in Blaise 2010.
The headline acts are always accompanied by talented groups and artists who are part of the musical news of our region and that the public will discover in Saint Blaise, such as Kim Cao or La Cumbia Chicharra, very trendy artists currently in our region.
“Bio Festival” Year after year, the frequency of the number of visitors increases not only because of its unbeatable price (15 € pre-sale, the lowest in the department), but also due to the exceptional setting offered by the village. Saint-Blaise is an ideal setting to attract festival-goers from the region and across France. Indeed, the village has many patrimonial assets such as its 17th-century mill or its 11th-century castle. Far from the tumult of cities, the village evolves in a green environment, with a view of the valley, earning it the nickname “Bio Festival” by programming director Gil Marsalla. Artists and the public will eat organic this year thanks to the organic farm partner of the festival located in Saint-Blaise.
“Anti-crisis Festival” When asked about the consequences of the crisis in the field of entertainment, Gil Marsalla admits not being spared in his activity as a producer but tells us that within the Festival, it is almost non-existent due to the very attractive price. “This festival does not have a commercial stake, it is essentially cultural, meaning the objective is not to fill our pockets but to introduce artists to the greatest number and families because children do not pay!”, highlights Gil Marsalla. The Festival was made possible thanks to grants and sponsors from public and private organizations. The media play an increasingly important role in the dissemination of this event as it is always their darling of the SUMMER! With its friendly atmosphere, affordable price, and original programming, the Rythm’in Blaise Festival promises to be a great success this year and even plans to expand in duration in the coming years.
