As every week, we present an overview of the summer transfer window for the Gym. On today’s agenda, the first officially confirmed signing: Tanguy Ndombele. But also, a departure very close to being finalized.
The good news was made official in the middle of the week! Tanguy Ndombele becomes the first signing of OGC Nice’s summer transfer window. The midfielder has signed a two-year deal with the Aiglons. The French international was a free agent following his departure from Tottenham.
Tanguy Ndombele is a Ligue 1 veteran. The midfielder has previously played for Amiens and then Olympique Lyonnais. “I am happy and proud to join the Gym. There are big collective ambitions and I have my own challenges to tackle. The team finished 5th and will play in the Europa League. I am eager to get to work so we can build something beautiful together,” stated the main party concerned.
OGC Nice interested in Jonathan Clauss?
In search of a new right-back, the Gym has reportedly noted the name of Jonathan Clauss, a defender from OM, according to Foot Mercato. With one year left on his contract, the French international will not be retained. Franck Haise would like to collaborate with the player again, having worked with him during his time at RC Lens.
As reported by the media L’Équipe, the Nice team is monitoring the situation of Yvon Mvogo, the goalkeeper from FC Lorient. However, this option currently seems unlikely. It would represent a solution in the event of a surprise departure of Marcin Bulka this summer.
Thuram to join Juve, Todibo sought after
It is no longer a surprise to most, Khéphren Thuram will be joining Juventus Turin in the next few days. An official announcement should come soon. The transfer will cost around twenty million, plus bonuses for the Italian club. A great financial move for the Aiglons.
Finally, Jean-Clair Todibo remains in demand. The central defender will not be joining Manchester United. Recently, West Ham tried their luck. A 35M€ offer was reportedly made by the English club. However, it was not sufficient for the Nice officials, who are reportedly waiting for at least 40M€ to part with their central defender.
