Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 2 PM to 6 PM, Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, meeting room, 20 boulevard Carabacel – 06000 Nice
The Association of Mayors of the Alpes-Maritimes co-organizes with the State Services, the Olympic and Sports Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes, and UMIH Formation (Union of Trades and Hospitality Industries), an awareness meeting on temporary beverage services and risk prevention within the scope of event organization on this date:
On this occasion, deputy delegates for associations as well as the presidents and heads of festival committees and associations from the municipalities of the Alpes-Maritimes are invited to participate in this meeting and engage in discussions on the topic.
The aim of this meeting:
Associations organize local festivals or events, for which they apply for temporary beverage service authorization from the town hall.
The meeting on February 8, 2012, aims to present the training “SUCCESSFUL CELEBRATION” and its key points, including a reminder of the essential elements for a successful event: enjoyment of the celebration, entertainment, supply, respect for the law, safety, prevention…
This training thus helps association leaders to anticipate and reduce risks related to excessive alcohol consumption, better define the association’s stance on all organized events, and concretely support the organization of temporary beverage services with non-exhaustive questioning and adaptable tools to fit the needs from one event to another.
“The goal is not to eliminate celebrations but to ensure they proceed smoothly. Permanent beverage services are required to undergo training and are penalized in case of disturbances. It is essential to hold temporary services to the same level of responsibility,” emphasizes Jean-Marc LE CAROUR, educational director of UMIH FORMATION.
