It was in front of the Charlie Chaplin room that everyone gathered to discover issue 100 of Chrono CDOS 06. It is 7 PM, and a hundred people stand on this red carpet. Located on the harbor, the venue offers a magnificent view for this iconic event. The elegance of the guests blends with the natural beauty of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

No. 100 like the 100 years of the Paris Olympic Games

Before the event started, the laughter and conversations of guests enlivened the evening. People arrived in groups, among friends, family, or colleagues. The guests, dressed in elegant outfits, mingled in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Meanwhile, the boats themselves, majestically docked, added a touch of glamour to this well-organized evening.

Once on site, guests greeted each other. The arrival took place on a red carpet with a panoramic view of the harbor and its mountains. Behind the mascot of the 2024 Olympic Games, the poster of ENEDIS, their partner, and the French National Olympic and Sports Committee were displayed. The evening began first in front of the Charlie Chaplin room.

Speeches to begin

As the Mayor just arrived, the launch could begin. Guests gathered in front of the posters and especially in front of the magazine hidden by the blue sheet. Speeches were given, such as the one by the head of ENEDIS, Xavier Montuelle. Or of course, the one by the President of CDOS 06, Phillipe Manassero. Speeches expressing gratitude to those present and the work done by the staff on this project.

Alongside them, the cartoonist, Kristian, was also present. The former journalist, Gérard Holtz who would later hold a conference-show on sports. Or professional, Olympic, and Paralympic athletes. Then, the Mayor of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Jean François Dietrich, would give his speech.

After the various speeches, it was time for the unveiling. The hands of these different personalities placed on the blue sheet that united them to this same project. Under the attentive eyes of the guests, they were ready to remove it.

The blue sheet has fallen

Camera flashes resonate, applause too. Smiles are displayed on faces along with amazed eyes. The colorful and wonderfully well-crafted poster is appreciated by everyone. The cartoonist, Kristian, then spoke. “Between the water and the hills, one can see athletes, one carrying the torch and a Paralympic athlete in front of a cheering crowd,” he explains. This is followed by a speech from Philippe Manassero on the magazine’s history. Starting from the first, through the twenty-fifth, the fiftieth, and reaching issue 100. Starting with politics and concluding with a sports magazine. He will also reveal the inside of this magazine containing interviews and cultural and sporting events.

Always on the theme of sport

The evening then continued with a cocktail inside the room. Before heading in to get their glass of champagne, people chatted, admired the large displayed magazine, and congratulated each other. Then, the guests entered with their sincere smiles and their conversations imbued with cordiality.

The atmosphere where conviviality, kindness, and joy reign is still present. At the back of the room, autographs were being signed by the cartoonist, Kristian. Guests were at the bar, standing or sitting in the room, a glass in one hand and a toast in the other, before the start of Gérard Holtz‘s show: “VIVE LE SPORT and LONG LIVE THE GAMES”.
