The Department of Alpes-Maritimes is highly committed to supporting and sustaining the agricultural sector. This is why it participates in the fight against the Asian hornet through a comprehensive program for the destruction of hornet nests, which has been completely free for users and operational since the end of July 2015.
The goal is to do everything possible to limit the damage caused by this category 2 invasive species to the main agents of pollination, a vital step in preserving biodiversity.
