The BTS NRC Challenge (Customer Relationship Negotiation): An Original Approach to Promote the Integration of Young People into Local Businesses

The Lycée les Palmiers opened a Higher Technician Certificate (BTS) program in “Client Relationship Negotiation” 5 years ago.

24 young students joined this BTS in the first year in the fall of 2014. Generally, these new high school graduates lack knowledge about the business needs and the stakes of this course they will follow for 2 years… Of course, they do not know each other either.

From the first day of the school year, the teachers offer students a very original educational project to facilitate their integration in the form of a challenge.

The students, in groups of 4 to young people, from the 1st and 2nd year, must prospect local businesses to identify and even secure the appropriate internships for their training.

By September 15, the students had all met this challenge and found 25 partner companies for their future internships: Fac Simile Canon, Hertz, Nissa Bâtiment, Le petit niçois, Cavigal, Apave, Hedhili, Hair plus…

This challenge is being offered for the 3rd consecutive year and achieves great success each year.

The students and the teams will share their experiences, doubts, difficulties, but also their successes.

They will present the companies with which the vocational high school Les Palmiers engages, to establish School-Enterprise partnerships. The teachers will highlight the student groups that have particularly stood out in this challenge.
