On the occasion of the Saint-Jean festival, the mayor of Nice inaugurated the Carras garden alongside the neighborhood residents.
Cars parked haphazardly, poor maintenance of the park; it was still possible to encounter such things a few weeks ago, but that’s over. The city mayor is revitalizing the garden. The elected official promises residents a play and relaxation area for both the young and the old. By securing the perimeter, he is undertaking the initial steps. Surveillance cameras and thermal cameras now monitor the garden twenty-four hours a day to ensure the tranquility of the place. It is also no longer possible to stroll through the park at any time. Entry and exit hours are imposed on the residents to prevent squatting.
The space is also set up for cultural activities. Children will enjoy play areas. Boules players will also have their own spaces. The creation of two boules courts adjacent to the area managed by the Carras Boules Friendly Association should soon come into being.
As for parking spaces, there is no longer a question of parking indiscriminately. Around twenty spaces will be organized within the fenced area to guarantee secure parking for park users.
