The Sports Caravan set up at the “Stadium” in Les Moulins, Nice this Wednesday: free sports activities such as fencing, ping-pong, football, gymnastics, and baseball were offered for children aged 4 to 14.
This event is an initiative of the CDOS 06, supported by the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes, and it will move to 25 different locations within the department. It will conclude its journey in September at the Allianz Riviera during a home match of OGC Nice.
The Sports Caravan is a project that also supports women’s sports and more specifically the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup (6 matches in Nice). Finally, this sports initiative allows children to discover new sports, which they can later pursue in clubs.
As Mr. Charles Ange GYNESI stated, youth is the key to the success of French sports and will be important for the 2024 Olympics.
