During its week off, the team at Nice Première is pleased to bring you a compilation of its best articles. For this third day, there is a tribute to the writers at Nice-Première who, over the course of a year, have written 2000 articles.
In order: Franck Viano (402 articles), Vincent Trinquat (197), Audrey Bollaro (112), Barbara D (49 articles), Nicolas Pelazza (26 articles), Kira (23 articles), Elise (22 articles), and not forgetting the literary reviews by Jean-Luc Vannier.
Today online you will find “Employment in Nice” by Franck Viano, “A Beautiful Engagement Tuesday for OGC Nice” by Vincent Trinquat, “The Star Academy 6 Casting” by Audrey Bollaro, “Eric de Montgolfier: Between Humility and Passion” by Barbara D, and finally “Catholic Relief: The Social Elevator is Still Stuck” by Kira.
Happy holidays to the luckiest and an excellent week to everyone else.
Perhaps you are among the thousands of people in Nice in search of a job, position, or an opportunity that breaks the period of relative inactivity you find yourself in.
Well, there are several solutions available to you in town, starting with the traditional ANPE which you can also find online at www.anpe.fr. A pleasant site, open to all, user-friendly, and equipped with several services for internet users (CV submission, job ad tracking, job offers, etc.).
Next up are the APEC, the agency for executives on the net also at www.apec.fr, and the Adecco, Manpower, Vedior bis temporary agencies, to name just the most significant in their local presence.
You can also turn to specialized websites like www.cadremploi.fr, www.pacajob.com, www.keljob.com, or www.cadresonline.com. However, be cautious of sites that offer advice or aid for money.
A small tip if you are looking for work in the Nice region, consider the Principality of Monaco: www.emploi-monaco.com
But in Nice, fortunately, we also have a tool that is supposed to help job seekers with their various searches, which is the Cyber Employment.
Located in the city center under the Museum of Contemporary Art, right next to the large Louis Nucera library, Cyber Employment offers its services, “too few,” to the unemployed of Nice.
Admittedly, it’s a place where one can consult specialized magazines on employment and where it’s possible to use a computer for job-search related activities, but it would certainly be interesting to use these beautiful premises for more employment meetings and forums with local professionals (see Cyber Employment’s partners on their website).
Today, the frequency, unfortunately monthly, of such meetings is too little compared to the number of job seekers in Nice, and we know the importance of these direct encounters which quite often lead to internships or job offers.
Indeed, the recruitment process is long and costly for companies, and organizing recruitment meetings around a sector of activity (hospitality, construction, IT, health, etc.) could well be an effective solution to lessen both the workload and financial burden on local employers and HR managers. Moreover, it would allow job seekers to conduct many more effective interviews than those virtual encounters offered in often pointless job search workshops.
Lastly, you can visit the Cyber Employment website, www.cyber-emploi.org, which, admittedly, isn’t much more appealing with its ads exclusively pulled from the local daily and its useless CV deposit (mine remained there for months without any news from them or an employer). Effective communication with local businesses wouldn’t hurt.
In Nice, as elsewhere, let’s dig a bit deeper into our cyber-brains!!!
