The Welcome Week, organized by the Erasmus Student Network association, has been launched. During the week, international and Erasmus students will be able to attend numerous activities.
In the Olivier Chesneau Student House room, the lively music sets the tone. Flags of several countries hang, and the projector displaying “Welcome to Nice!” waits for the new arrivals. Charlotte, the president of the ESN, welcomes them to announce what the week has in store for them.
From a guided tour of the castle, French meals, karaoke, to beer pong, each day students can attend an activity throughout the week. Beyond the Welcome Week, ESN organizes activities and trips throughout the year…
“an association of young people for young people“
ESN is a large and old European association created in 1989. It encourages and develops cross-country exchanges. In Nice, ESN was founded in 2010. Today, there are 26 members organizing everything. Charlotte describes the organization as an “association of young people for young people.” To promote exchange and diversity, French students are also welcome. “There is no nationality limit,” the president emphasizes.
Evelyne, an Erasmus student, is back at ESN Nice for the second time. This Belgian student found the association really interesting: “Here, I met most of my friends, and moreover, I was able to improve my French.”
