This Saturday, June 22, 2024, marked the second season, episode one of the inauguration of the Esplanade de la Bourgada, on the Promenade du Paillon.
To complete the colossal project of the municipality, this Saturday Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, inaugurated a new part of the extension of the green corridor. This Saturday at noon, the curtain was lifted to reveal the Esplanade de la Bourgada with a forest in the heart of Nice.
After the demolition of the National Theatre of Nice for the green corridor project, Christian Estrosi, alongside his wife, the French journalist Laura Tenoudji, pressed the button revealing the new Esplanade de la Bourgada to the many locals present.
This new phase of construction has allowed for the creation of an esplanade with a surface area of 5,000 square meters. In the spirit of the green corridor, the area has been populated with more than a hundred trees and shrubs, mainly olive trees. To perfect this new landscape, six umbrella pines have been planted. In September 2024, the continuation of the green corridor and its green landscape will begin following the demolition of the Barla sector with the Acropolis.
