On Tuesday evening, Nice vibrated to the rhythm of the FACE Parade, an event that has become a must for Azur students. For its sixth edition, the parade gathered 4,500 young people, all united in an electric atmosphere at the heart of the Nice Carnival.
Behind this colorful parade, a meticulously detailed organization. “This is our sixth edition, and we are sold-out with 4,500 students registered”, proudly announces Lucas Bonfils, president of FACE 06. For months, his team has been working in collaboration with the city of Nice to ensure the success of this festive event.
Ensuring the parade runs smoothly is an essential point. “We have implemented a reinforced security system with 93 staff members throughout the route, in addition to the city’s plan”, explains Lucas. Surveillance cameras, checkpoints, and mobile teams ensure the evening goes off without a hitch. Such vigilance allows students to fully enjoy the party.
A Unique Atmosphere of Sharing and Discovery
For participants, the FACE Parade is much more than just an evening. “It’s a great atmosphere, you meet young people from other schools, you get to know each other in a spirit of goodwill”, confides Sarah, delighted to discover the carnival surrounded by students.
Cassandre, a regular attendee of the event, returned this year with even more friends. “I loved it last year, so this time I convinced my girlfriends to come. We make amazing connections, it’s truly enriching.”
On his part, Valentin wasn’t planning on attending, but the enthusiasm of a friend persuaded him. “I didn’t think I’d see the carnival, but the FACE allows 4,500 young people to gather for free to enjoy it together. It’s great!”
Varied Activities for All Tastes
The event isn’t limited to the parade. Throughout the evening, interactive stands punctuate the route. Bexart offers body painting inspired by the carnival, while Manga Paradise organizes a cosplay contest. For those wishing to add a festive touch to their outfit, Coco Picasso provides quick makeup sessions. Finally, a prevention stand run by the Mutualité Française educates students and distributes protection kits.
An Event That Keeps Growing
Powered by growing success, the FACE Parade establishes itself as a key event in Nice’s student life. And the organizing team doesn’t plan to stop there. “We will continue directly with the FACE’TIVAL in a month”, notes Lucas Bonfils. Enough to maintain the energy and friendliness that make FACE 06 prosper.
With this parade, Nice once again proves it knows how to blend tradition with youth, offering students a space for celebration and sharing within one of the most famous carnivals in the world.
