The House of Gestures and Sustainable Development sets up in Nice

Latest News

Conceived from an idea by Michel Chevalet, “The House of Actions and Sustainable Development” aims to present to the general public, school groups, and professionals a technological showcase and a simplification of construction techniques that meet the new 2012 energy consumption standards, resulting from the progress of the Grenelle Environment Forum.

Simultaneously, “The House of Actions and Sustainable Development” will remind the general public that with the technologies currently available on the market, it is possible to meet the new construction standards, in short, to consume less energy and spend less.

This project has received support from Jean-Louis Borloo, Minister of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, ADEME, Gaz de France/Suez, and was realized with the help of Nausicaa for the scenographic part inspired by “the house of actions” in Boulogne/Mer.

This modular house, which is a real 80 m2 bioclimatic house, will undertake a tour of France, scheduled over three years, initially visiting ten major cities in 2009 with a planned presence at Batimat in November 2009.

The city of Nice will host “The House of Actions and Sustainable Development” on Cours Albert Ier, from April 4 to 27, 2009.
