The Young Economic Chamber of the Nice Metropolitan Area organized its handover ceremony on January 31 in the presence of Eric Ciotti, Deputy of the 1st constituency and President of the Finance Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, and Joseph Segura, Mayor of Saint Laurent du Var and Vice-President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis.
The evening took place in the convivial setting of the Casa Luna restaurant in Saint Laurent du Var. Floriane Perraut, the 2018 President, handed over her duties to Coralie Tonner for the year 2019. This handover ceremony was conducted before an assembly composed notably of elected officials and presidents of the Local and Regional Young Economic Chambers.
The new president, Coralie Tonner, reviewed the year 2018 before discussing initiatives for the current year. Several actions will be implemented around the theme “Dare,” which is the motto of the JCI in 2019.
The main aim is to address local issues by working in tandem with local stakeholders:
- Green Under the Snow: a program to reduce litter in ski resorts
- Boost in Eco-Valley: training to support young entrepreneurs and ensure the sustainability of their businesses
- Nice Conversation: informal meetings to practice foreign languages in a friendly setting
- Chalks of the Azure: a festival that brings the public together around creativity, community, and peace.
Training is at the heart of the JCI’s projects, with the organization of an inter-associative afterwork every first Thursday of the month and a company visit every third Thursday of the month.
