The MAMAC of Nice presents the exhibition “All Léger!” at the Musée du Luxembourg in Paris until July 20, 2025. It highlights the work of Fernand Léger and the Nouveaux Réalistes, exploring their artistic and historical connections.

The MAMAC of Nice continues its off-site programming. From March 19 until July 20, 2025, the exhibition “All Léger!” is taking place at the Musée du Luxembourg in Paris. This event is organized in coproduction with the GrandPalaisRmn and the Fernand Léger Museum of Biot.

This exhibition highlights the work of Fernand Léger (1881-1955) and the Nouveaux Réalistes, an artistic movement initiated in 1960 by Pierre Restany. Visitors can discover iconic creations of the MAMAC signed by Niki de Saint-Phalle, Arman, Yves Klein, Raymond Hains, Martial Raysse, and César. The collection reveals the connections between these artists and Léger’s legacy.

Christian Estrosi emphasizes the importance of this event: “The MAMAC continues to shine across the territory with ambitious off-site programming. […] The artworks travel, the artists too, and most importantly, they reach a broader, more diverse, and larger audience. It’s important to continue reaching a wide audience and to maintain access to our heritage.”

A national dissemination

The exhibition explores several themes such as the role of objects in art, color, the leisure society, and art in public space. It also highlights collective work and creative processes.

The exhibition’s curators are Anne Dopffer, director of the National Museums of the 20th Century in the Alpes-Maritimes, Julie Guttierez, chief heritage curator at the Fernand Léger National Museum, Rébecca François, conservation attaché at MAMAC, and Johanne Lindskog, director of the MAMAC.

After an initial phase in Biot, this second phase in Paris allows for further dissemination of the MAMAC’s collections and strengthens the links between Nice and the capital around modern and contemporary art.
