Brune Poirson, Secretary of State reporting to the Minister of State, Minister of the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, will visit Antibes in the Alpes-Maritimes on September 15 to promote the campaign on preventing cévenols episodes.
For the second consecutive year, the Ministry of the Ecological and Inclusive Transition is implementing this indispensable campaign to raise public awareness of the risks faced during the very intense rain events that affect the region in autumn. For the Secretary of State, “it is urgent to take preventive action so as not to experience the dramatic episodes of October 2015” which resulted in 20 deaths in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Brune Poirson will have a working meeting with the Mayor of Antibes and local officials to discuss local prevention and crisis management measures for fires. For Brune Poirson, “prevention policy, to be effective, must be co-constructed with local stakeholders.”
