The Nice-based group 3A Hôtels La Collection has obtained the prestigious Green Key eco-label.

While ecology and environmental protection are true current topics at the heart of contemporary ethics, the establishments of the 3A Hôtels La Collection group have been awarded the sustainable tourism label.

A few weeks ago, the hotels West End, Aston la Scala, Beau Rivage and the Plage Beau Rivage simultaneously obtained the Green Key certification. This recognition came after long months of restructuring and the implementation of eco-responsible actions such as the elimination of single-use hospitality products, the installation of water savers, switching to LED lighting in all areas, and sponsoring beehives on the Valensole plateau.

We have always placed great importance on environmental respect. The importance of reducing the impact our activities have on the planet seems obvious to me and more than that: a necessity.

The Green Key Label

Green Key is the leading eco-label for tourist establishments in France. Created in 1994 in Denmark, the label was then developed in our country in 1998. It is also present on all five continents.

The purpose of the Green Key label is to reward hotels, residences, campsites, hostels, lodges as well as restaurants and beaches that engage in an effective environmental approach judged on various criteria. The conditions are established at the international level and are common to all countries. They are re-evaluated each year to meet the environmental requirements of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).

  • Water and energy consumption
  • Waste management
  • Choice of suppliers
  • Biodiversity
  • Implementing awareness campaigns with employees
  • Implementing awareness campaigns with clients
  • Involvement in the societal domain

Establishments receiving the Green Key eco-label commit to respecting the territory, providing a healthier and more natural living environment while raising vacationers’ awareness of sustainable tourism.

Thus, vacationers can choose to reduce their environmental impact by selecting one of the labeled establishments in France.
