Over the past two weekends, the French Parachuting Championships took place, first in Pamiers and then in Vannes. The Cercle de Nice club dazzled by winning two medals.

The country’s best parachutists competed from August 30 to September 1, and then from September 13 to 15. The first round focused on artistic disciplines and was organized by the Ariège Sports Parachuting School Center in Pamiers. Forty men and women challenged each other in the Ariège sky. Each duo performed seven jumps in total to establish the final ranking. In the Freestyle N1 category, the competitors from Nice particularly stood out. Adrien Gallot and his partner Laurie Lubbé achieved an impressive second place with a total of 57.9 points. This result is very encouraging, with favorable weather conditions throughout the competition. This performance serves as a dress rehearsal ahead of the world championships scheduled for October in the United States.

A Title for the Cercle de Nice

Last weekend in Vannes, the Cercle de Nice once again showcased their expertise. This time, it was during the Precision Landing event that the athletes from Nice shone, under the watchful eyes of the national coach for the discipline, Jacques Baal. The club claimed the gold medal thanks to the Black Dogs Nice team, composed of Jean-Yves Bouillaud, Rémy Balaud, Éric Simonin, Loïc Lubin, and Claude Morel. This is an immense pride for the club, which sees its athletes proudly flying the colors of Nice in the French sky.
