As part of the initiatives launched by the “Young Audience” department of the Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur, a series of concerts aimed at schoolchildren will be presented by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra from November 21 to 24 at the Lino Ventura Theater.

A total of 72 musicians, conducted by Frédéric Deloche, will come together on stage to perform works by Paul Dukas (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice), Tchaikovsky (The Nutcracker Suite Op. 71a), and John Williams (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone Suite).

More than 900 students from schools in the City of Nice, including those from the Ariane district, are expected for these three dates, as well as 300 middle school students from several institutions in the Alpes-Maritimes department.

On the occasion of the closing ceremony of the “Children’s Rights Week,” a fourth concert open to the public will be offered on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at 3:00 PM.
