On January 21, 2006, the Palais des Festivals in Cannes will host the NRJ Music Awards for the seventh consecutive year. This ceremony, presented by Anthony Kavanagh, rewards national and international artists. This trophy is especially important for these nominated singers because it is exclusively the public who votes. From November 21 until January 12, Internet users can indeed vote on the NRJ and TF1 websites.
NRJ Group announced in a press release that the votes for the seventh season are breaking records, with over one million votes counted.
Only the French song of the year will be supported by telephone voting, which will be open from January 13 until the end of the program.
The event will be broadcast live on TF1 at 8:50 PM. Robbie Williams, Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Gérald de Palmas, Raphaël, Laam, M Pokora, Emmanuel Moire, and the troupe from Le Roi Soleil will be present on the NRJ Music Awards set.
