The Princesses of the AS Monaco – OGC Nice Derby

8

Both are as pretty as the other and their professionalism ensures that the communication of the two clubs that are going to compete to reach the final of the League Cup has never been better both with the press and the supporters.

Virginie Rossetti, in a red and black striped jersey, and Sonia Diaz, wearing the red and white tunic of the Principality, share their thoughts with the readers of Nice Première before the match that the entire French Riviera is eagerly awaiting.

The match, news from both clubs, the World Cup, the African Cup of Nations, Virginie and Sonia, friends in life as well as on the field… until Tuesday night!

Thank you, ladies!

Nice Première: How do you approach this new Monaco – Nice match?

Virginie Rossetti: Pleased for the supporters who will fully play their role as the 12th man, but realistic about the fact that it will be a very difficult match and we will have to perform another feat… which will motivate us even more!!

Sonia Diaz: With a lot of enthusiasm because the derby always gives hope for a good football match! It’s a great fixture.

NP: What is your prediction?

VR: I see it as a tight match where the tension will be palpable. Probably a 0-0 at the end of regular time, but the pressure from our supporters will help the team to transcend during the extra time.

SD: 2-1 for AS Monaco.

NP: And if you had to summarize before this matchup?

VR: We are ramping up… a very good series of away matches and the Ray is becoming what it was… a fortress. The quarterfinal against Bordeaux proved it… Nice could not lose that night.

SD: I’ve already evaluated it several times in my head, Nice gave me a very good impression after watching the NICE-BORDEAUX Cup match… watch out for them!!! Regarding AS Monaco, there have been many changes this year: the coach, the departures of Maoulida, Adebayor, and Evra, there have been new arrivals… and it’s not over yet! There are still 2 days left until the end of the transfer window! (Editor’s note: The interview was conducted on January 29, the arrival of…?… was not yet official). The team needs to find its bearings again. It’s not an easy period!

NP: Any news in the communication of your club?

VR: The creation of the “Club des Partenaires” with events throughout the season reserved for them. We are starting work on subscribers so that they too can benefit from the advantages they deserve. Otherwise, a lot of “projects” are underway like the shop and online ticketing very soon.

SD: The new website will normally be out at the end of February!

NP: When will there be a TV or a Web TV on your club?

VR: You are aware, I hope, that we have had a web TV since the beginning of the season. A cameraman was hired almost full time to follow the team everywhere. Thus, you can discover each week “the inside” of the match, the trainings… similar to what was done during the 98 World Cup with “Les yeux dans les Bleus”. It’s a great effort from the Club who wanted to offer this gift to the supporters.

SD: We are a bit behind on this file, it’s true that the sickness of Michel Pastor justifies his absence, and it’s true that this situation blocks many projects that are waiting for his “green light”! But soon we will see ASM FC matches on Cable in the Principality…
