The Springtime for Kids returns to Nice from April 5 to 18 with shows and activities for children. This 16th edition highlights the theme of seas and oceans.

The festival The Springtime for Kids returns to Nice for its 16th edition, starting today, Saturday, April 5, and continuing until April 18, 2025. During the school holidays, a varied program will be offered for children and families at different locations in the city.

About thirty performances are scheduled. Theater, magic, puppets, readings, scientific workshops, and various activities will punctuate these two weeks of the festival. Nearly 70 events will be offered to the public, centered around the theme of the magical world of seas and oceans.

A collective and itinerant cultural project

The event relies on a broad mobilization: artistic companies, associative structures, municipal cultural establishments, and private theaters collaborate with the city’s services. Together, they offer activities that are both fun and educational, connected to the performing arts.

The festival will conclude on Friday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Music Kiosk in Albert 1st Garden. This day, open to all, will include several shows and workshops. Admission is free. It will be possible to dine on-site or have a picnic in the garden.

This event aims to develop children’s artistic curiosity and to promote broad access to culture. It is also an opportunity to share festive moments across generations. The approach is intended to be participative, educational, and accessible to all audiences.

Thus, the municipality emphasizes cultural and artistic education from an early age. This festival is part of its continued commitment to youth, a few weeks before the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 2025), scheduled for June.
