The Public Education Pupils Center of the Alpes-Maritimes (PEP 06) is at the forefront of disability support policies.

The Pupils’ Health Center of Public Education of Alpes-Maritimes, created in 2009, is the tool for implementation and public accessibility (in addition to those from the Motor Education Institute) of equipment, techniques, and expertise of the PEP, particularly in terms of care and rehabilitation for people with motor disabilities, but also visual, auditory, and cognitive disabilities.

It is at the Health Center that the equipment received from the department’s Health Project Calls are installed. Since 2006, nine project calls from the PEP 06 have been successful thanks to the assistance of the Alpes-Maritimes Department.

This morning, Deputy Eric Ciotti, representing the president of the departmental council Charles-Ange Ginésy, visited the new rehabilitation facilities, and the design of the Health Center premises permits the reception of children with disabilities in optimal conditions for their development and learning, with, for example, the installation of a boarding school adapted to all types of disabilities.
