To cover the entire territory, the Departmental Council has initiated the Très Haut Débit 06 operation, which aims to provide efficient Internet access to all homes, businesses, and administrations in the Alpes-Maritimes.
It is the only rural department in France with such ambition to achieve 100% fiber coverage in just six years. This operation involves an investment plan of nearly 90 million euros.
Its implementation will be entrusted to SICTIAM.
As part of its Digital Development Master Plan (SDDAN), the Department has made the deployment of Very High-Speed Internet a priority, aiming to meet nearly 100% of the needs of the 99 municipalities excluded from the scope of private operators by 2021, in line with the timeline of private operators.
Due to its ambition, cost, and significant territorial impact, the project initiated with the official launch of the Très Haut Débit 06 Plan is expected to be the major undertaking of the next decade.
