The school cafeterias will be decorated with various aromatic plants to catch the children’s eyes, allowing them to smell, touch, and taste: basil, rosemary, mint, thyme, savory…
The aim is to prepare various traditional dishes and desserts with herbs as in the past, to rediscover all the natural and simple flavors and to explain to the children the importance of preserving and promoting culinary traditions, in a way that is suitable for their age.
The herbs presented to the children:
- MINT: Tabbouleh, Pear with chocolate
- PARSLEY: Parsley carrots
- THYME: Tomato toast
- SAVORY: Savory chicken
- BASIL: Pasta with pesto
- DILL: Sole fillet
- ROSEMARY: Sautéed vegetables
- CHIVES: Goat cheese or sauces
