Will it start again? The weekly walk through the downtown streets by the yellow vests promises to fill Saturday afternoons with the usual disruptions of halted tramway traffic and the inconvenience caused to customers who wish to shop (poor merchants, after the little critter, now it’s the turn of the idlers to hinder their business).
It is understood that a little mobility is good for one’s health and that morally, puffing up one’s chest while marching gives an adrenaline rush…
However, there are people who rely on public transport out of necessity and who also have rights that should be considered. Then, there are others who might legitimately think that “for the honor of the workers and for a better world” more appropriate actions than strolling through the streets behind a banner could be organized!
Who knows, maybe by digging, other ideas could come up because if a nice march were enough to achieve a “better world,” we would already know.
As for the “honor of the workers,” if you look closely at the ideals of these activists, they seem to be decrepit and out of touch.
After the gathering at Liberation Square in Nice, an unauthorized demonstration by the prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes took place in the city center.
There were about 300 “yellow vests,” surrounded by law enforcement, some masked, others not.
Heading towards the courthouse, the city hall, and the Promenade des Anglais. A rather scattered procession. On a banner, one could read: “For the honor of the workers and for a better world.”
