Tramway: service disrupted on line 1

7

Starting this evening and at times until November 23, the operation of tram line 1 will be disrupted in the evening.

The reason is maintenance work on the wear of the rails due to the passage of trams since November 2007. Nearly 100,000 people use this central city line every day. To ensure proper rail maintenance, the service will be interrupted from 8:50 PM from the “Henri Sappia” station and 9:40 PM for “Hôpital Pasteur”.

To allow passengers to travel throughout the evening until the end of service (around 2 AM), replacement buses will be provided every 10 to 15 minutes. Only the “Saint-Jean d’Angély Université” station will not be served in both directions. Toward “Henri Sappia”, the “Cathédrale-Vieille Ville” and “Opéra-Vieille Ville” stations will be relocated to the “Station J.C. Bermond” and “Lycée Masséna” stops, respectively.

The renovation operations will take place until and including November 23 during the following periods:

  • nights from Tuesday, October 17 to Thursday, October 19 inclusive
  • nights from Sunday, October 22 to Thursday, October 26 inclusive
  • nights from Sunday, October 29 to Thursday, November 2 inclusive
  • nights from Sunday, November 5 to Thursday, November 9 inclusive
  • nights from Sunday, November 12 to Thursday, November 16 inclusive
