Mounir Obbadi (33 years old) is officially a Nice player. Free after his departure from Lille, the midfielder has signed with the Aiglons.

The Nice midfield now has a new face. An experienced player, Mounir Obbadi has consistently demonstrated great regularity over the years, whether playing in Ligue 1, Ligue 2, or abroad. Trained in Paris, the versatile midfielder initially made a strong reputation for himself in the second division, playing for SCO Angers. Then he spent 6 seasons with Troyes, helping them to rise to the top league, wearing the captain’s armband (2011/2012).

After Troyes’ relegation, the right-footed player moved to Monaco and achieved a second promotion with the club from the Principality, returning to Ligue 1 at the end of the 2012/2013 season. Firmly established on the Rock, Obbadi, a tireless ball-winning midfielder comfortable with the ball at his feet, tried his luck in Serie A with Hellas Verona (2014/2015), before returning to France with LOSC. Since the start of his career, he has played in 179 Ligue 2 matches, 85 Ligue 1 matches, and scored 25 goals.

Impressed by his versatile and mature profile, OGC Nice decided to place their trust in a player used to the international level, who participated in the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco this winter.

He is expected to be in the squad for the match against Monaco on Saturday at 5 p.m.
