Tribute to those who died for France in the Algerian War and the fighting in Morocco and Tunisia

In the presence of civil authorities and Lieutenant Colonel Philippe Bocquet, Departmental Military Delegate for the Alpes-Maritimes, & Associations of Veterans and War Victims, homage will be paid to those who died for France during the Algerian War and the conflicts in Morocco and Tunisia. This ceremony will take place this Wednesday at 11:30 AM, at the War Memorial, Rauba Capeu quay.

After a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of these combatants, Rauba Capeu quay will echo to the sounds of the Marseillaise and the Chant des Africains.

This ceremony is organized in collaboration with the associations of Veterans and War Victims as well as the associations of Repatriates and Harkis.

The day of December 5th is an opportunity to pay tribute to the military, former Harkis and auxiliaries of the French Army, members of the police forces, and civil servants who died in service to France, and to bow before the memory of those who disappeared during this painful period.
