WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER WALKED ON THE MOON, a unique performative exhibition by (LA)HORDE to discover in Cannes on July 28 and 29, 2022.

Two performances will take place on July 28 and 29, 2022, from 9 PM to midnight at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes.

A unique performative exhibition

We Should Have Never Walked On The Moon (“Nous n’aurions pas dû marcher sur la Lune” in French, a quote borrowed from Gene Kelly), is a dance exhibition featuring 26 performers from the Ballet National de Marseille, 7 jumpers, 4 stuntmen, 10 amateur performers, and a DJ. With this performative exhibition, (LA)HORDE explores the multiple futures of dance in its passionate relationship with cinema.

The inspirations

This performative exhibition is inspired by the physical potentials of musicals and action films. The company enthusiastically takes over Chaillot to bring forth multiple proposals inside and outside, such as living sculptures and performative choreographic installations. This places everyone at the border between reality and imagination, inviting us to face multiple realities.

(LA)HORDE, who are they?

Founded in 2013, (LA)HORDE is a collective bringing together three artists: Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer, and Arthur Harel.

At the helm of the Ballet National de Marseille since September 2019, they create choreographic pieces, films, video installations, and performances around the moving body, while questioning the codes of various artistic disciplines.
