The azure capital is preparing for a year rich in cultural, sports, and international events.
In 2025, Nice will experience several highlights by hosting various events throughout the year. From the famous Carnival to international conferences, including sports and Esports competitions, the azure metropolis will be in the spotlight.
The Nice Carnival: King of the Oceans Honored
From February 12 to March 2, the Nice Carnival 2025 will celebrate the oceans. Under the theme of the “King of the Oceans,” festivities will include illuminated parades, flower battles, and various free activities. The festivities will kick off with the Charivari de Richelmi, followed by the popular “Carnavalina” day on February 15. On the same day, the opening parade will illuminate Place Masséna from 8:30 PM.
Additional stands along the Promenade des Anglais will allow for more spectators. Those in costume will have free access to the walking paths, subject to available spaces. The ticket office, open since December, continues to accommodate reservations online and on-site.
A Sporty and Committed Summer
On June 29, the Ironman in Nice will bring together athletes from around the world for an endurance challenge combining swimming, cycling, and running. Three months later, on September 14, Nice will host the Ironman World Championship, confirming its status as an international sports destination.
From June 9 to 13, the city will also host the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3). This event will bring together scientists, politicians, and private sector stakeholders to discuss solutions to environmental challenges related to oceans.
In July, the Nice Jazz Festival will resonate in the Albert I Garden, from the 24th to the 27th. The Masséna and Théâtre de Verdure stages will be the setting for concerts mixing big names in jazz and musical discoveries.
Autumn will mark the arrival of EVO France 2025, the first French leg of one of the world’s largest Esports events. The competitions will feature games like Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8, as well as popular titles such as Guilty Gear: Strive.
With concerts, sports events… the people of Nice should find plenty of activities to suit their tastes.
