This Wednesday, the 8 novels in the running will be unveiled and presented at the Villa Masséna by the jury, which will advocate for its selection.
Presided over by Franz-Olivier Giesbert, this jury includes writers Paule Constant, from the Goncourt Academy, Irène Frain, Aurélie de Gubernatis, Didier van Cauwelaert, Laurent Seksik, Jean-Luc Gag, City Councilor, and Nicolas Galup, Editor-in-Chief of Azur TV. A popular jury of 10 readers, book and word enthusiasts, is also involved in the deliberations.
Sponsored and endowed by the City of Nice, this literary prize has been awarding, for 24 years, a novel published in the 12 months preceding the Nice Book Festival (May 31, June 1 and 2, 2019).
The winner will be announced on Friday, May 17. They will be awarded the Nice Baie des Anges prize on May 31, at the opening of the Book Festival.
